The 1019 Project

The 1019 Project is an effort to promote safe roads and awareness for cyclists. Cyclists have just as many rights as motorists, if not more because driving a motor vehicle is a privilege granted only by a license and not a guaranteed right.

Although, The 1019 Project is not focused exclusively on promoting safe roads for cyclists. Road safety is an important issue for anyone who operates a motor vehicle. In the United States, there is a 1 in 100 chance you'll die in motor vehicle collision if you drive for at least 50 years.

October 19th, 2008 is the day it almost happened to me...
